Aneo Industry AS is a Norwegian energy services company based in Trondheim, specializing in high-temperature heat pump solutions for industrial applications. Founded in May 2022 by the Nordic renewable energy group Aneo, the company is jointly owned by TrønderEnergi and HitecVision. Aneo Industry’s mission is to decarbonize heat-intensive industries by transforming waste heat into valuable process steam and hot water, reaching temperatures up to 150°C and pressures of 5 barA. 

Our flagship offering is a steam-producing heat pump system designed to replace fossil-fueled boilers, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions—up to 100%—and improving energy efficiency by 60–80%. These systems are standardized for industries such as food and feed, pulp and paper, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, where high-temperature steam is essential for processes like drying, sterilization, and evaporation. 

Aneo Industry operates under a flexible “Energy as a Service” (EaaS) model, which includes engineering, installation, operation, and maintenance. Clients pay for the energy delivered, eliminating upfront investment and technical risk. Our technology uses natural refrigerants like ammonia (R717) and water (R718), ensuring environmental sustainability and long-term reliability. 

The company’s pioneering project “Frigg,” installed at Felleskjøpet’s feed factory in Trondheim, showcases the potential of their solution—cutting electricity consumption by 65% and producing close to 7 GWh of steam annually.
