Heatlift is a French cleantech focused on steam generating (SGHP) andhigh-temperature heat pumps (HTHP) using centrifugal compressors for large-scale industrial process applications. Our team of seasoned engineers brings deep expertise in industrial energy efficiency, high-temperature thermodynamic systems and turbomachinery design.Driven by innovation and sustainability development, we help industries reduce theircarbon emissions and improve theirenergy efficiencythrough competitive solutions specifically designed for them.

Heatliftoffers two product lines equipped with our own high-efficiency centrifugal compressorsthat use low-grade heat (30 to 90°C) generated by processes to produce high-temperature decarbonized heat to run them:

  • A standard Steam-Generating Heat Pump supplying 6 tph (4 MW) steam up to 10 bar / 200°C

  • Customized Heat-Pumps, based on the same architecture as our standard line, butsupplying 2 to15 MW of high-temperature heat in the form of steam (up to 20 bar / 230°C), hot air, superheated wateror other process fluids.

Heatlift Heat pumps usea design validated by a prototype and multiple references in similar high-temperature thermodynamic applications, designed and manufactured by our team. Our systems are modular, with compact units available as plug-and-play packages to simplify their installation.

Designed for optimal efficiency, maximizing the project revenues and competitiveness, all Heatlift solutions are easy to integrate, straightforward to maintain on site, and adapted to a large range of applications: agrifood, paper, chemical, CCUS and any other industry requiring up to 230°C heat and aiming to efficiently decarbonize their processes.

Our team has over 15 years’ experience in turbomachinery and thermodynamic applications for industrial waste heat recoverydedicated to heat production or power generation. Based on centrifugal compressor technology developed since 2014, a large-scale heat pump prototype installed in 2018,the manufacturing of a full-scale demonstrator in 2024 and anin-depthmarket analysis, the company has launched a standard 4MWth steam-generating heat pump (HL-SG6, producing 6t/h of steam) and a complete range ofproducts from 2to 15 MWth that can supplysteam, hot air, hot or superheated water, or other process fluids directly from the condenser, while benefiting from significanteconomies of scale.

Our products have beendevelopedbased onfeedback gathered from more than 450 industrial inquiries over the past few years and designed specifically to address the constraints ofindustrial processesand the low-grade heat sources generated by those same processes. These units offerhigh efficiency that maximizesrevenues and enables a rapid return on investmentthanks to a standardized design and consolidated supply chain.

Two lines of products:

  • Standard 6 tph (4 MW) Steam Generating Heat Pumps (SGHP) designed to facilitate their integration into industrial plants with the following main features:

    Modular and containerized design

Non-flammable working fluid for simplified integration and permitting

High-speed two-stage centrifugal compressors for maximum efficiency

Direct steam generation for maximized COP and cost-efficiency

Can be combined with MVR from specialized manufacturer to reach up 10 bar & 200°C steam

  • Customized heat pumps sharing the same architecture and design than our standard line but producing 2 to 15 MW of heat per unit and adapted to multiple heat sinks:

Steam production up to 20 bar / 230°C

Direct hot air production for dryers up to 210°C

Heat-pump driven reboilers, integrated in stripping & distillation columns & other processes

Hot & superheated water up to 200°C

Customized heat pump use non-flammable low-GWP HFO and Alkanes (isobutane, butane, cyclopentane,…) depending on required duty and temperatures.

Heatlift heat pumps are designed to recover heat from 30 to 90°C low-grade industrial waste heat including:

  • Process mixtures to be condensed or cooled.

  • Centralized cooling loops and cooling towers

  • Humid air from dryers

  • Biomass flue gas condensation

  • Greywater and freshwater

Heatlift is mainly active on chemical, carbon capture, paper, agrifood and any other industrial processes that require heat up to 230°C aiming to efficiently decarbonize their processes.

To maximize the value and heat pump projects economics, our team can support its customers with feasibility studies and process optimization recommendation.
